Technical information about this website’s accessibility
Gnoll Country Park is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible due to unforeseen technical issues with the software used.
We are actively working to resolve these issues and make all elements of the website accessible as soon as possible.
Forms
On the Contact page, two forms contain duplicate ID attributes, which may impact assistive technology functionality.
On the Friends of Gnoll page, two forms also contain duplicate ID attributes.
Link Purpose
On the Events page, multiple “Learn More” buttons are used without additional context, making it unclear which event each button refers to when using assistive technology.
Missing Anchors
On two occasions, navigation or search icons are missing associated anchor tags, preventing proper keyboard or screen reader navigation.
We plan to fix the above issues by August 2025.
We use Silktide tool to monitor any issues regarding accessibility and aim to fix any issues that have been found as soon as possible.
Disproportionate burden
At this time, we have not made any disproportionate burden claims.
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
PDFs and other documents
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.
Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.
Live video
We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
Website testing is carried out by our Web Team for compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines V2.1 level A and level AA.
We use Silktide tool to monitor any issues regarding accessibility and aim to fix any issues that has been found as soon as possible. We use Adobe Pro’s accessibility checker to check the PDF documents. Where possible, we are publishing documents in HTML format.
We continue to work with Digital Accessibility Centre to ensure our website is accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of technology or ability.
In October 2021, the Digital Accessibility Centre carried out further accessibility testing. This included automated testing (if appropriate), along with an expert manual compliance audit AND testing by users with a range of disabilities.
